February White with 1 - Blue Jeans

Welcome February and welcome to a new challenge at the White With 1 Blog - this month it is Blue Jeans with a sketch for inspiration.
I am a sucker for a good pair of comfortable jeans and the deeper blue it is the better....but I am never in front of the camera so I had to search for a photo of one of the girls wearing denim which I realised they do not do often. The only recent photo I had with either of the girls in denim was Bronte in her jacket!! They certainly do not take after me in this department as I live in mine.

Princess Rainbow Unicorn Fart Bubbles!!!

Oh the fun we had on our new blow up pool toy and the fun we had naming her. The girls had a ball with it and so did all the adults in the pool.
I create this layout for Colour Blast Design team and just wanted to share it all with you here on my blog. If you want to know how I create it with the awesome Colour Blast product then head to the Colour Blast blog and check out my step by step process.

Favourite Girls

Everything else that I have used on this layout has come from my Counterfeit Kit that I put together at the start of the month. I have loved joining in on their challenges and using up my own stash to create a monthly kit is a great way to use up old and new supplies together.

Mystical Scrapbooks Cybercrop

I had a bit of a scrapping weekend so I managed to join in on the Mystical Scrapbooks Cybercrop and get two of the challenges done. I am hoping to get back to the third one.

Hanging Out With Super Heroes

This challenge was all about picking another layout in the Mystical Scrapbooks Gallery and scraplifting it. I picked a layout by Toni M title Hanging out with Douglas. The photo if of Paige hanging out with some of her favourite characters at Movie World.

Live Colourfully

This challenge was a sketch challenge, so quick and simple to get done. The photo is another of my favourites, the girls together and both smiling.

Scrap Suite Cyber Crop

It was my first time doing the challenges at the Scrap Suite and boy did I love them, they were very inspirational and having a month to get them done even better as I have only managed to do two.

Good Times

The challenge for this one was to follow the latest trend in scrapbooking and do a layout on the diagonal. I must admit it is not something I do very often but it was a lot of fun. The photo is one from Paige's Princess Birthday Party (I don't think she will ever have another girlie party...too much of a Tomboy!!). I love it when I can get a good photo of the girls together.

This challenge was to use the colour palette of pink, mint, white and gold glitter.

This would have to be one of my favourite colour combinations at the moment, so soft and feminine. The photo is of Bronte a few years ago when she dressed up in one of my flower girl dresses. I am so glad that Louise sent them down to me when her girls grew out of them. Now my challenge is to get Paige into one of them and get a photo of her.

The second challenge at the Counterfeit Kit Blog this month is to use Zentangles!!! Mmmm this one put me out of my comfort zone just a bit. I tried doodling but there was no way my doodles were nice enough to make it onto one of my pages. Then I thought of one of my adult colouring in books, with all the swirls, doodles, lines, and curls they remind me of Zentangles....and colouring in is kind of "zenish" and relaxing.... so I interpreted the challenge a bit differently and used one of the designs from my adult colouring in book.

The Dream is Real

There is a place in Thailand called Dreamworld and it is pretty special, whilst exploring it we discovered a beautiful coach and two lovely horses pulling it. Bronte and Paige just had to have a ride and dream of owning their own horses one day.

Best Buddies

I have created another layout using my Counterfeit Kit as well as the January sketch from the Stuck Sketches Blog. This is the most scrapping I have done in a long time and I am loving it.

Best Buddies

Once again I pulled out my Colour Blast products to create an individual background and the Ombre effect on the chipboard title.

Challenge One - Counterfeit Kit Club

The first challenge for the month at the Counterfeit Kit Blog was to use a door on your layout, which was a challenge to do as I had not put any doors in my Counterfeit Kit nor did I find any in all my stash, so I created one on my Silhouette Cameo. I also couldn't find any of my patterned paper that I thought would go with the idea I had in my head of what I wanted to do, so I once again created my background using my Colour Blast products.
I spread a bit of the Navy Colour Blast Shimmer Dust onto my white cardstock.
I then sprayed it with water and Envy Colour Shimmer Spray until my page was drenched and the colours blended together.
I wanted the colours to spread a bit more together so I used a plastic tool to make lined in the wet mediums which helped to blend them together.
One dry I sprayed the background in a random layering of a brick stencil, I sprayed with Stormy Weather Colour Shimmer Spray.
Next I sprayed the door I cut from my Cameo with some Colour Sprays and I finished off by embossing some chip board keys, lock and flourish with Colour Blast's Colour Embossing Powder in Stormy Weather and Singin the Blues, finally decorating with flowers, material, a title and the photo.  It has been a while since I have made a lumpy and bumpy layout and I must admit I had lots of fun getting messy with it.

Counterfeit Kit Layout One

Okay as soon as I saw the kit that was picked as the Counterfeit Kit for this month I knew I wanted to create a forgery of the doily looking paper.
I have a large Kaiser Craft Stencil that I have not used yet and knew that the Colour Blast Coloured Paste would like divine through it. I actually created this background before I knew how I was going to scrap it!!
Here is how I made it;
Sprinkle a small amount of Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust (I used the colour Navy) on to some white cardstock
Spray the Colour Shimmer Dust with some water and Colour Shimmer Spray (I used the colour Envy) Keep spraying until it blends and spreads across the page.
When dry place a stencil across the cardstock and spread some Colour Blast Colour Paste (the colour is Just Blue) through the it using a flat ended tool (I use an old Medicare card or store card).
Be careful lifting the stencil from the cardstock.
Such a fun and easy way to create a unique looking background for a layout.
I finished off my layout with a few embellishments and a photo of my daughter Bronte. If you want to know more about the wonderful range of Colour Blast products then please pop in and have a look at the store.

January White With 1 - Princess Pink

I am a wee bit excited sharing my first Design Team layout for the  White with 1 Blog Challenge with you all. It is such a pretty colour and was so much fun creating a layout with it, the hardest part for me this month was pick which one of my millions of pink photos I wanted to use with it!! The joys of having two daughters. :)
Here is the gourgueus Princess Pink colour
and here is a moodboard to get your creative juices flowing.
I took my inspiration from the moodboard in the way of the bow from the sunglasses, the flowers and a see through flower boarder on the bottom of the page to represent the tuile on the dress. I even managed to get a pair of sunglasses in the photo!!
