Had a bit of a play

I showed a sneak peak of my sample layout for the Mystical Scrapbooks cybercrop that I did....well here it is in all it's glory!!

Adorable!

A photo of Paige taken at the Trailer Boat Club one evening when we went out for dinner. Love this photo of her - I have used Kaisercraft papers.

Birthday Smile

A layout that I did today for Trudie's Autumn Colour Challenge, I have used the American Craft Dear Lizzy range and let me tell you that these papers are divine.

Another ASI Share

Another one of the Washi Tape layouts that I did for Australian Scrapbooking Ideas Washi Tape article. In this layout I used the Washi Tape as an anchor to attach patterned paper and the photo. I also covered the coiled cardstock to make the circle flowers. Grab a copy of the magazine for step by step instructions.

Cybercrop time at.....

.........Mystical Scrapbooks.

Come and join in on the Autumn Fun. Here is a sneak peak at the challenge that I have put together...can you work out what the challenge might be from the photo? Remember that the theme is Autumn.

Easter Cybercrop

It is cybercrop time again at Mystical Scrapbooks, we are having an early Easter Cybercrop with three fun challenges to sink your chocolate coated teeth into.
My challenge this month is to use pastels....which is a very pretty effect when finished. I had to riffle through my stash to find some ... but when I did I really enjoyed playing with them and I love the finished look.

1st Easter as Sisters

This was Paige's first Easter, she was only a month old. I had to get some photos of the two girls together in their Jammie's...perfect Easter colours....for a great Easter Photo shoot.

Pegasus

One of the most beautiful and mysterious creatures is the Pegasus, so it is only fitting that this week we draw inspiration from it for our challenge at Mystical Scrapbooks. Pop into the gallery and see what the fantastically talented ladies come up with from the criteria. This is my sample that I did - I had a bit of fun with water and mist on this one.

Treasure

A few random photos of Bronte and Paige that I took earlier this year and had printed off.
Some of the criteria was to have wings to represent the Pegasus ability to fly so I added a butterfly.
 Another criteria was stars.
I had some fun with water and mist on this layout - love the effect that it makes.

Mystical Creatures Competition

Challenge two for the Mystical Creatures Competition at Mystical Scrapbooks is up - the inspirational creature is the "Brownie". I tell you what it had me stumped too as I don't usually do monochromatic layouts....especially not brown. But I really love how my layout has turned out.
It is a layout of the girls dressed up in vintage clothes and Bronte leaning over to give Paige a kiss on the cheek, which she did all by herself without any prompting.
A few of the finer details. The colours haven't photographed too well as we haven't had any sunshine for about a week now, due to the Cyclone that was meant to develop...it has remained as a tropical low with lots of rain and wind.

Nothing like the last minute.

I love, love, love "My Little Shoebox" products and when I saw the design Team call I remembered my last go at it and the disappointment that I felt when I missed out, so I decided to not try this year. But then the products kept calling my name.....you have to be in it to win it they say....so here I am again.
For the call this year there was only one layout, one card and one project required....UMMM yeah me only do one layout? I have done a few lately with MLS products and I can't decide which is my favourite or best shows what I can do - so I figured I would share them all here. I'll have to narrow it down to just one for the call, which is going to be difficult.
The 2 Of You Make My Heart Sing
This layout was a fun one to create - it was the first time that I have used the MLS 3D flowers and let me tell you it took me all of five minutes to roll my first flower and fall in love with it. The flowers are such fun to make and look great on cards, projects and layout. This photo of Bronte and Paige really warms my heart.
You Light Up Our Lives
This is second layout that I have picked as one of my favourites. I did a bit of fussy cutting with the patterned paper and lanterns and love the effect with the 3D foam under it. Now how could I not use these photos with the Aiko range of papers?
You Bring Sunshine to Our World
You have all seen this one in a previous post - I made it and drew a sketch from it for the cybercrop at Mystical Scrapbooks - but I love how it has turned out - I have mixed and matched from lots of different MLS collections but they all go so nicely together that it works.
Nuts About You
Now for my card, even though I have made a few cards I think that this one is my favourite - I handcut the nuts from some of the MLS papers and glued them together. I think they are really cute.
Notice/Chalk Board
Here is my final submission - My Project; I have made a notice/chalk board. With having just recently moved into a house that is about 50% smaller than our home in Perth I have needed to cut back on space and declutter a little bit. Well in doing so I have become super organised and all my bits and bobs are all together now. I've take a few photos of the notice/chalk board to show the detail and also to show how I am using it.
So wish me luck - I am so happy with my projects and how they have turned out that even if I don't make the cut I have won already.
