There is nothing like a last minute crazy scrapping evening. I just happened to notice the White With One challenge last night whilst I was looking for ideas and inspiration. So I grabbed a bit of my Colour Blast stash and got nice and bright with the Yellow Up challenge. Although I didn't get it uploaded to the blog in time, I had a heap of fun playing along.
Love This - My Happy Place
I did actually film my layout as I was creating it so pop back in later after a get a chance to do a voice recording for it and you can see how this stunning yellow creation was made.I have used Colour Blast Colour Sprays, Colour Blast Shimmer Sprays and Colour Blast Colour Paste

This was a layout I did using the Colour Blast Colour Mica Powders a few weeks ago and never got around to publishing to my blog until now. I love how all the shimmer that the Mica Powders have when you use them and the soft colours that I have chosen to use are perfect for this girlie layout.
Please let me know what you think.
I had a heap of fun doing this video for the COlour Blast Blog. I love mist and sprays and just wanted to share my love it by showing everyone a few simple ideas that some times get over looked and forgotten about and all those sprays get left on a shelf somewhere. By doing this video I hope to encourage you all to pull out your Colour Blast Colour Sprays and get messy.

I have been a bit neglectful in the last few weeks - Adrian is home for a short time, we have had a holiday, the kids are crazy and work is busy. I haven't even had time to share with you my good news. :) I made the Design Team of a wonderful Australian company called Colour Blast, they make the most lushest, boldest, shimmery sprays, pastes, mica powders and more. Please pop over on to their blog and have a look, I can guarantee that you will love them as much as I do.
Any way this is my first layout that I have created with the Colour Blast products and I just wanted to share it with you, I do have a step by step on how to create it so if you want to learn how to use these products and create these wonderful flowers then stop by the blog.

It has been a little while since I have been on a Design Team, I had to take time away to concentrate on our move, work and our family. I also have been hit with injury or illness one after the other....but like me I slog on and was finally on the mend when I got hit with being diagnosed with diabetes..... on top of everything else. Well now I am taking time out to find myself and get my health back on track as it should be...time out for me is creating and I believe that it is healing to. Anyway I am whoffling on and what I really wanted to tell you is that I have been recently accepted on to a new Challenge Blog Design Team, and for those that know me personally you will know this new blog fits me like a glove. It is a challenge where you have to use fantasy images each month!!! How cool is that - I love anything Mystical or Magical, so Fantasy Scrappers is going to be so much fun. I hope to see you all participating. Pop on over to the blog and see the first challenge it is an "Anything Goes" challenge - so the sky is the limited.....as long as it has Fantasy in it!
This is my layout that I created for my first challenge.
Can you spot my Fantasy items? A fairy (my favourite Tinkerbell) and a little cute unicorn. There are also two very special sweet sleeping angles in the photo, Bronte and Paige, who have been having a few sleep overs together in each others single bed. Love watching them sleep and seeing how different they are even when sleeping. Bronte cacoons herself up in her sheet, whilst Paige holds her blankie under her nose and kicks the sheets off.
Well I hope you like my first reveal for Fantasy Crafters, please stop in and join in the fun.

Fun, fun, fun is all I can say about this layout. I basically just wanted to create a bold and beautiful art piece (with a message to my daughter) which is what I did. It was all about the process of playing with mists, stamps and ink...getting messy..... I even changed the photo that I had originally started with half way through my creation.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4M7a4oGiMI
One of the many layouts I created this weekend. I started doing this one for the Mystical Scrapbook Cybercrop - it was meant to be for Donna's challenge which was inspired by Autumn...however Donna had a colour pallet attached to the challenge and the colours I ended up wanting to work with didn't match...so although I have used the "gum leaves" as inspiration I did not stick to the correct colours. But muh that is art.... the choice to do what you like for yourself as long as you are having fun along the way. :)
For this layout I created my own hand cut stencil - the gum leaves, which was a lot of fun and easier than I first thought. I did actually film my layout as I was creating it, but I have yet to find the time to sit down and edit it as I had to work late last night and tonight was crazy. I will sit down tomorrow evening and then edit this post to add a link.
A bit of a closer look at the gum leaf in all its misted glory.
Who can not resist hugs with our favourite native animal?
I love it when I just happen to come across Australian Companies that are producing products for the Scrapbooking, Mixed Media or Art Community!!! Which is exactly what happened when I was surfing the internet looking for ideas to Pin. I came across Colour Burst an Australian Manufacturing company catering to paper crafting which has a bright, bold and beautiful range of mists, pastes, sprays, dusts and embossing powders. Not only was I excited enough to mention it to my local scrapbooking shop (in the hope that they order some in for me to play with) I just had to apply for the Design Team!!
The layouts in this post are the three that I have chosen for my application, they are three of my most recent ones and ones that I happen to love. Recently I have been playing with altering the background cardstock with mixed media to create an arty look to my pages and I wanted to showcase how creating your own background you can create a different feel to each page, a way to create something unique and individual to you.
You are my Happy
For this layout I wanted a soft feminine design so I used muted soft colours and a delicate stencil. I mixed some white gesso with mists to make my own coloured paste. If you would like to see how I made "You are my Happy" then please click on the link and it will take you to my Youtube channel where I have posted my Scrapbooking Process Video.
A close up, where you can see the soft subtle detail of the coloured paste through the stencil.
For my second layout I picked one where I created a water colour look, to give a soft and dreamy feel to the page to match the photo of Bronte staring off into space Day Dreaming as she often does. In this layout I have mixed mists with water to dilute them down and then applied to a wet cardstock so that they ran and blended together. I then added a bit of texture to the page by using some white iridescent medium through a stencil, a hand coloured stamped dream catcher and a bit of doodling completed the page.
A close up of some of the stamping over the iridescent medium to show how the medium reflects the colours around it and casts a shine to the page.
In this detail you can see the way the mist mixed with water has blended to create a soft water colour like effect.
My final layout shows a soft yet bold style where I have used a mist as a paint for the background and then used white gesso through a script stencil, splattered with a lighter mist to create a fun look. This layout was actually my first layout that I filmed and created a Scrapbooking Process Video for, if you would like to see how it was created then please pop on over to my Youtube channel and have a look at "Puppy Love".
Two close ups so that you can see some of the detail.
Thank you for dropping by and having a look at my showcased layouts and please stop on by the Colour Blast website and check out their wonderful range of products.

Mystical Scrapbooks is having their Cybercrop on again this weekend so I thought I would play along. I picked the Summer theme challenge and thought I would film it as I create. Along with the Summer theme I wanted to have a play with geometrical shapes as they are making a huge come back in the online scrapbooking community.....so I jumped in and tried a few triangles out. I got a little messy with this layout; doing some stamping, splattering and large blobs. Please have a look and let me know what you think.
If you don't have time to sit back and watch the process video here is the final layout.
